Custom work / Commissions

I (Wesley) am always very happy to chat about comissions! You can either swing by in person at the Bones In Jars storefront-studio (121 Front St, Beaver Dam WI), contact me via email bonesinjars@gmail.com, or DM me on social media through the Bones In Jars Instagram or Facebook.

All custom pieces will include the cost of supplies as well as my hourly rate of $20. This can vary from piece to piece significantly, and more often than not pre-made items from Bones In Jars will be cheaper than custom pieces.

Commissioned items can either be picked up in-store for free, or shipping will be factored into the final price.

Below are some examples of custom work. However, I am always open to talking about ideas outside of this list!

Displays / Terrariums

If you want or have specific items (bugs, bones / skulls, crystals, or something else!) you’d like in a display of your own design, bring them in!

You can choose from base display options I have in-store (glass jars, bottles, etc), bring in your own, or we can select one to buy / order to use in the project.

Check out the Displays, Dioramas, & Terrariums section of The Catalog for more examples of this kind of work!

Below are some examples of custom work. However, I am always open to talking about ideas outside of this list!

Jewelry

Embedding bugs, teeth, bottlecaps, or other small mementos in resin in a bezel. These can be necklaces, pins, or bracelets depending on the size of the item!

I can also wrap items in wire or otherwise mod them to create earrings, necklaces, or keychains!

Check out the Jewelry & Accessories section of The Catalog for more examples of this kind of work!

Tattoo Designs

I’ve designed both line art and color tattoos for folks, including myself. They are stylized and tend to be of animals and symbology.

If you work with me on a design you are under no obligation to get it done! You are also welcome to use designs I’ve done as starting points and have them modified by your tattoo artist.

Illustrations & Paintings

I illustrate using pencil, black ink pens, alcohol markers, and posca pens. I work on 7x10 multi-media paper. I love drawing people, creatures, horrors, and more. I will do pieces with or without backgrounds and am okay with a variety of subject matter.

I paint with acrylics on various-sized canvases. I vary in terms of style and work with a variety of subject matter. My paintings are stylized not realistic, like most of my work. Check out the Paintings & Collage section of The Catalog for more examples of this kind of work!

modified stuffed ANIMALS / toys

On the horror side of things, adding paint, latex, clay, bones, eyeballs, or anything else creepy to a stuffed animal of your choosing to make a furry friend a little more unqiue!

Check out The Nursery section of The Catalog for more examples of this kind of work!

I also do custom paint jobs of figurines, dolls, or other toys to add a bit more character!

Bones In Jars also offers a “menu” of one-on-one classes! Email bonesinjars@gmail.com or message us on social media if you’d like to schedule something!
