For a flat fee + supplies, we are more than happy to give you a place to learn & someone to learn from!

Bones In Jars is perhaps best known for Bug Class! Officially titled: Insect Pinning & Display Class.
Bug Class is offered two weekend days every month, so if you can’t make it to one, fear not! There will be more.

Vendor At Port Of Fear!
Bones In Jars will be a vendor at the Port Of Fear Film Festival in Kenosha this year! The shop will be closed for this purpose. This will be our first time attending, so excited!

Bug Pinning & Display Class - October 2025
If you're brand new to bug pinning, an experienced collector, or just want a fun insect-themed way to spend an afternoon, this class is for you! Come hang out at Bones In Jars, learn how to pin bugs, and display them in unique, creative ways! There will be various beetles to choose from as well as decorations to display them with!
This event is offered twice on separate days (Saturday, October 18th & Sunday, October 19th), both 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM in the Bones In Jars Storefront-Studio. Please make sure to select the desired date upon purchase!

Bug Ornament Making Workshop - November 2025
Bug Class is so popular, we wanted to specialize it for the holidays! Come hang out at Bones In Jars and create a bug ornament of your design using round wood bases, a variety of bugs, and lots of fun accessories. All creative choices are up to you!
This workshop does differ from the usual Bug Classes: you will not learn how to pin your bugs in this class, just given space to create a unique oddity ornament.
This event is offered twice on separate days (Saturday, November 22nd & Sunday, November 23rd), both 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM in the Bones In Jars Storefront-Studio. Please make sure to select the desired date upon purchase!

Intro To Zines
Zines are many things, but a loose description of them would be DIY collage magazines! They can have themes, original art, newspaper clippings, trash, and more! If you’re interested in learning about the process and making your own, check out this class!

Each participant will receive 2 sheets of printer paper, 1 gluestick, 1 pair of scissors, & access to an amount of collage supplies & drawing materials!
Each participant will get to keep zines they create, but the supplies (scissors, gluesticks, collage materials, etc) used for the project must remain at Bones In Jars.

If you’ve been to Bones In Jars, you’ve seen the little collage tvs! A favorite of many, now you have the opportunity to make one yourself! Come celebrate World Collage Day at Bones In Jars with the creator of these little designs, Wesley’s ( the owner of Bones In Jars) very cool mom!
This event is for Saturday, May 10th, 12:00 - 2:00 PM in the Bones In Jars Storefront-Studio.
